OLD SPICE BIG AIR | April 14

Kicking off the first weekend of the festival, the Old Spice Big Air launched 30 skiers and snowboarders into Skier's Plaza. Set at the base of Whistler Mountain, massive crowds braved the drizzle to experience the most adrenaline fueled competition of the festival. With the evening soundtracked by Bassnectar and Zilla, riders competed in a 2 jump contest, with the top 3 scoring riders; Matt Belzile, Craig Beaulieu and Brad Martin, advancing to a 5, 7, 9 and beyond Super Final. In the end, Matt Belzile won the battle and $5,000 - becoming the 2007 Old Spice Big Air Champion.

In addition to winning cash & prizes, the Super Finalists also won starts in the final competition of the 2007 festival, the Playstation Big Air.

*PROM*

For the final party of the festival, athletes crimped their hair, broke out the bangles, neon and lace and celebrated at the 80s style *Prom*. DJ R3 kept the 80s tunes flowing, while The Breakfast Club and other 80s movies played in the background.   The dance floor stayed packed all night long, and everyone stopped by for a visit with Rich Glass and to snap their Prom portrait.
